Chemistry graduate student Ze-Zhong Ye’s poster won “best poster award” from Siteman Cancer Center

Ze-Zhong Ye won the poster competition in the 2016 annual Siteman Cancer Center Oncologic Imaging Research Program on Nov. 15, 2016. The poster session encourages basic, translational and clinical cancer imaging study from graduate and medical students, post-doctoral fellows, residents and faculty members. In the poster, Ze-Zhong reported the newly-developed diffusion MRI histology (D-Histo) approach to distinguish and quantify the extent of tumor cellularity, including tumors infiltrating white matter tracts, and tumor necrosis in high-grade glioma. Ze-Zhong is hoping to apply D-Histo to improve tumor detection, pre-surgical planning, and to monitor treatment response.
