Safe Zones Training
Hosted by the Chemistry DEI committee and led by teaching professor Anna Shabsin
Safe Zones is a peer facilitation group that educates and fosters discussion around LGBTQIA* issues in order to promote the development of a more open and inclusive university community. The goal of this workshop is to educate our department about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) issues and help participants become better allies to LGBTQ students, staff, administrators, and faculty. After our training, you’ll be able to display your WUSTL Safe Zones placard outside your workspace, indicating that you can be an ally for those in the LGBTQ community at Washington University or for those who spend time in our buildings.
