Merrick receives MEDI Division 2025 Fall Travel Award

Collin Merrick

Collin Merrick, a graduate student in the Wencewicz Group, has been selected as a recipient of the MEDI Division 2025 Fall Travel Award. This recognition, awarded only to a handful of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows nationwide, is a testament to Collin's research and dedication to the field of medicinal chemistry.

The Division of Medicinal Chemistry (MEDI) awards a limited number of grants of up to $2000 annually to aid young chemists in presenting papers at the ACS National Meetings. To be considered for the award, students must be ACS members, students, or affiliates. The individual must also be a first-time recipient of the award, and each university department is limited to one recipient.

MEDI Division of the American Chemical Society, founded in 1909,  covers all aspects of drug discovery, chemical biology, and medicinal chemistry. MEDI currently has about 5,500 members.
