Wesley Wagner from the Gross Lab has been selected as a finalist for the Dean’s Award for Graduate Research Excellence. The Dean’s Awards for Graduate Research Excellence recognize graduate students’ outstanding achievements in research, scholarship, or creative practice before graduation. This award is designed to celebrate a range of outstanding achievements and acknowledge the graduate student's commitment to excellence.
This award recognizes Wesley's outstanding PhD research achievements and science communication excellence via a "three-minute thesis" talk. This talk will be presented to a broad selection committee, who will designate the finalists for this award. Finalists will give presentations to a committee of faculty, university leaders, and external partners. Semifinalists and finalists must be available to present at these events (dates TBD). Semifinalists will receive a prize of $500, and finalists will receive a prize of $1,500 in addition to a certificate of recognition.
