As a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Jian Cui's lab at the Helmholtz Institute of Munich, Lucky will develop electrochemical cells and techniques for the controlled generation of reactive oxygen species in the presence of biomolecules and cells, inducing oxidative stress---a precursor to many diseases including Alzheimer's. By simultaneously amplifying and imaging ultraweak chemiluminescent produced during oxidation, we will better understand reactive oxygen species' role in disease pathways.
