Join us for Dr. Mack's seminar, titled, "A Career Journey Through the Pharmaceutical and Agricultural Industry with a Chemistry Degree – Experiences and Lessons Learned"
This talk will provide a look back – and forward – on a career that started in the pharmaceutical industry, took a turn into agriculture and then into the start-up biotechnology world. This journey has been marked by impactful science, world travel, personal opportunity and growth, and most importantly the best colleagues, collaborators, mentors and friends. The “through-line” is the foundation that was set by obtaining undergraduate (Wash U) and graduate (Caltech) degrees in Chemistry. The talk will highlight examples and stories of how an education in chemistry can help to develop your career, fuel your science, and create a mindset for growth and success. This will be a brief talk followed by Q&A time to discuss careers in industry.
