This course will provide graduate students with a foundation of research, communication, and professional skills, with a focus on starting their thesis research project and preparing for second-year Chemistry program milestones. Students will work individually and in groups to refine their project ideas, make a plan for project
implementation, communicate both in writing and orally to multiple audiences, and learn to navigate professional interactions such as networking, negotiation, and feedback. This course is intended to be taken in the first year of the graduate program.
