The Chemistry Storeroom has saved me days, if not weeks or months, by allowing me to continue experiments when I otherwise would have been waiting for orders to arrive. And, the prices are great! A lot of the time, it's cheaper than buying in bulk. It's also wonderful to be able to buy individual units when you don't need large quantities. When I do order supplies, they make the process much less painful than it has been for me in the past at other institutions. Beyond its practical value, it's genuinely a pleasant and welcoming place to be. Gerry and the rest of the staff are always warm, kind, and eager to help. I know that universities are constantly looking at ways to cut costs, especially right now, and I've been at institutions that have closed their storerooms for this reason. I hope our storeroom can continue to be supported even through these difficult times. I truly believe it's one of the best things about the department.
