Catalysis
The study of organic, inorganic, and biological-based catalysts that accelerate the rate of chemical reactions, while simultaneously not being consumed. Examples of catalysts include small organic molecules, organometallics and metal complexes, as well as proteins and enzymes.
Areas of Focus
Organocatalysis • Asymmetric catalysis • Organometallic chemistry • Enzymology • Photocatalysis
