Following a nationwide search, Jennifer Heemstra will become the new chair of the Department of Chemistry.
Seven faculty members in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis are among 564 new fellows selected by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world’s largest general scientific society and publisher of the Science family of journals.
The Department of Chemistry will welcome three new theorists in fall 2022 as part of Arts & Sciences' Digital Transformation Initiative.
Through the Packard Foundation’s STEM DEI program, the Department of Chemistry will expand its efforts to recruit, mentor, support, and train outstanding scientists from diverse backgrounds.
